Everything you need to know to cast your ballot for the 2026 Lexington Town Election.

Polls are open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Important Deadlines
Voter Registration Deadline
Friday, February 20, 2026 by 5:00 PM - You must be registered to vote by this date to participate in the election.
Vote by Mail Application Deadline
Monday, February 23, 2026 by 5:00 PM - Mail-in ballot applications must be received by this date.
Absentee Ballot Application Deadline
Friday, February 27, 2026 by 5:00 PM - Absentee ballot applications must be submitted by this date.
Are You Eligible to Vote?
You can vote in the 2026 Lexington Town Election election if you:
- Are a U.S. citizen
- Are at least 18 years old on or before Election Day
- Are a resident of Lexington, Massachusetts
- Are registered to vote in Lexington
The voter registration deadline is Friday, February 20, 2026 by 5:00 PM
Where to Vote
Find Your Polling Location
Your polling location is based on your street address. Most Lexington residents vote at one of the following locations:
- Precinct 1: Cary Memorial Building, 1605 Massachusetts Avenue
- Precinct 2: Cary Memorial Building, 1605 Massachusetts Avenue
- Precinct 3: Lexington Community Center, 39 Marrett Road (Main Level Dining Room)
- Precinct 4: Cary Memorial Building, 1605 Massachusetts Avenue
- Precinct 5: Cary Memorial Building, 1605 Massachusetts Avenue
- Precinct 6: Cary Memorial Building, 1605 Massachusetts Avenue
- Precinct 7: Cary Memorial Building, 1605 Massachusetts Avenue
- Precinct 8: Samuel Hadley Public Services Building, 201 Bedford Street
- Precinct 9: Lexington Community Center, 39 Marrett Road (Main Level Dining Room)

Early Voting
Early voting information will be available closer to the election date. Check the Lexington Town Clerk's website for specific dates, times, and locations.

Apply for a Vote by Mail ballot online or download the application. Applications must be received by February 23, 2026 by 5:00 PM. Ballots must be returned by 8:00 PM on Election Day.
Absentee Voting
You can vote by absentee ballot if you will be away from Lexington on Election Day, have a religious belief that prevents you from voting at your polling location, or have a disability that prevents you from voting in person. Absentee ballot applications must be submitted by Friday, February 27, 2026 by 5:00 PM.

Massachusetts does not require ID to vote if you're already registered. However, if you're voting for the first time, have recently moved, or your voting status is "inactive" you may be asked to show:
- A valid photo ID (driver's license, passport, etc.)
- A recent utility bill, bank statement, or government document showing your name and address
